Madhesh govt: UML ministers resign

JANAKPURDHAM, April 4: CPN-UML ministers who were a part of the Madhesh province government have officially resigned. In accordance with the resignation process, the UML ministers submitted their resignation letters to Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav.

JANAKPURDHAM, April 4: CPN-UML ministers who were a part of the Madhesh province government have officially resigned. In accordance with the resignation process, the UML ministers submitted their resignation letters to Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav. The Madhesh government included UML’s Saroj Kumar Yadav as Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development, Mohammad Jayad Alam as Minister for Women, Children, Youth and Sports, Shatrudhan Prasad Singh as Minister for Home and Communications, Rajkumar Lekhi as Minister for Law, Justice and Provincial Assembly Affairs, and Keshav Rai as Minister of State for Home and Communications, all of whom participated in the government and subsequently resigned.

On Monday night, Chief Minister Yadav contacted the UML ministers and requested that they submit their resignations. It is worth noting that Yadav, the leader of the JSP parliamentary party, was appointed as the Chief Minister after receiving support from the UML on 11th  January. Saroj Yadav, the leader of the UML parliamentary party, took the oath of office with the Chief Minister on 13th January. Furthermore, on 3rd February, three other ministers and the state minister from UML joined the government.
