Vote counting of Kathmandu Metropolitan City begins

KATHMANDU, May 14: The counting of votes of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has begun. An all-party meeting held on Friday night decided to begin counting of the votes from 8AM today.

KATHMANDU, May 14: The counting of votes of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has begun. An all-party meeting held on Friday night decided to begin counting of the votes from 8AM today.

However, the counting of votes started at 10AM at National Assembly Hall, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.  The counting has been started from ward number 1, which will be followed by ward number 32 and others.


There are a total of 56 mayoral candidates in Kathmandu Metropolitan City including Keshav Sthapit of UML, Sirjana Singh of Nepali Congress from the ruling alliance, Balendra Shah (Independent candidate) and Samiksha Baskota from Bibeksheel Sajha.
