Wardens' national conference starts

KATHMANDU, March 17: The 23rd National Wardens' Conference kicked off at the Makalu Barun National Park on Thursday with the objective of resolving the problems seen in the national park and wildlife conservation sector.

KATHMANDU, March 17: The 23rd National Wardens' Conference kicked off at the Makalu Barun National Park on Thursday with the objective of resolving the problems seen in the national park and wildlife conservation sector.

The conference will deliberate on the challenges in nature and wildlife protection, and what model needed to be adopted in the protected areas with the country already embracing the federal setup, said Bhoj Raj Pantha, the conservation officer at the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation.

The meeting will also discuss the burning problems in the conservation sector, the role of wardens in wildlife protection and review the work progress in this regard. The conference concludes on Saturday. RSS
