March 4: Nothing beats a trip to McDonald’s - be it for breakfast, a mid-shopping trip lunch, or a late-night box of 20 McNuggets.
And most Bristolians will be all too familiar with the menu at their local (or any) McDonald’s store. But no matter whether you want a Big Mac or a McFlurry, the chances are the toughest question you face in an outlet of the fast food giant is whether we want to go large or not.
But apparently we've been getting this wrong all along - according to an expert.
You see, the Mirror reports nutritionist Emily Field says if you want to stay fuller for longer it's time to scrap the chips and order a second burger instead.

Her idea is based on the balancing meals theory - which means every meal needs to include fat, carbohydrates and protein.
Speaking to Business Insider, she revealed burger includes all three - the bread provides carbohydrates while the meat contains protein and fat.
But, sadly, McDonald's chips can only offer fat and carbs.
Protein is what keeps us feeling full up for longer periods of time, so missing this out isn't good.
A hamburger contains 13g of protein and a cheeseburger offers 16g.
A medium portion of chips however only includes 3.3g.
So Emily suggests ditching the fries and having a second burger which, depending on the burger, could double your protein intake.
This will help you feel fuller for longer and could, in theory, stop you reaching for another snack in a few hours.
And a burger also wins when it comes to calories as well.
A medium portion of McDonald's chips contains 337 calories while a hamburger has 250 and a cheeseburger 301.
So next time you're in McDonald's why not try ordering two burgers and see how you feel.
