Workshop on resume building, mock interview session at KUSOM

KATHMANDU, Nov 15: Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM) organized workshop on resume building and mock interview session, as pre-event of KUSOM Annual Festival (KAF) 2016, in collaboration with the leading job portal in Nepal, MeroJob.com and supported by Pilot Pen.

KATHMANDU, Nov 15: Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM) organized workshop on resume building and mock interview session, as pre-event of KUSOM Annual Festival (KAF) 2016, in collaboration with the leading job portal in Nepal, MeroJob.com and supported by Pilot Pen.



The resume building workshop highlighted upon the important criteria for building an effective resume that will help enhance the candidates’ impression on the potential employer.



Speaker at the workshop, Abhay Rijal, Business Development Executive at meroJob.com, stressed on the minute details regarding resume contents and also, clarified the differences among resume, Curriculum Vitae (CV) and bio-data.



The very workshop was followed by mock interview, a simulated session that provided an opportunity for the candidates to experience a real time interview and augment public relations. The session was conducted by a panel of experts on human resource.



The resume building workshop and mock interview session included participants from KUSOM as well as other colleges. The resume building workshop was attended by 70 participants and mock interview session was attended by 39 participants. All participants had positive feedback regarding their learning from the event.



At the end of the session, the panel of interviewers provided productive feedback on the competency of each candidate and recommended how they can improve on their presentation during the interviews.



They highlighted that, along with having a proper planning and preparation, the candidate should set a clear career objective, aligning their specialization and interest for better career perspective. On the other spectrum, they elucidated the importance of the physical gestures such as: eye contact, posture, voice tone and confidence, while appearing for any interview.



Day-2, Coordinator, Nidip Pant said that he will spread the feedback provided by the experts from HR to the students of KUSOM.
