KATHMANDU, July 30: The Youth Association Nepal (YAN) has condemned the Tilathi incident in which the Nepali and Indian locals clashed on Friday.

The clash took place as the Indian locals attacked Nepalis protesting against the unilateral construction of a dam by India on the Nepal-India border, leading to inundation on the Nepalese side of the border.

The YAN spokesperson Prabhat Bikram Katwal today issued a press statement saying that all Nepalese from hill, mountain and Tarai should fight against Indian expansionism on the issues of nationality.

The YAN has further urged the government to provide treatment to those Nepalis injured in the incident. Similarly, the YAN has also opined for resolving such sensitive issues through the diplomatic channel. RSS
