Youth held in connection with Sajha bus arson attack

KATHMANDU, March 13: Balaju Police on Monday arrested Rajman Tamang in connection with the arson attack on Sajha bus.

KATHMANDU, March 13: Balaju Police on Monday arrested Rajman Tamang in connection with the arson attack on Sajha bus.


According to DSP Santosh Tamang, Rajman, originally from Haldeikalika VDC-8, Nuwakot, is the Balaju-based area in-charge of CPN Maoist led by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’.


A gang-of-four had set a fire to a Sajha bus by dosing it with kerosene at Gangabu Bus Park in Balaju on Saturday.

The arson attackers had fled the scene after setting the cooperative vehicle ablaze, shouting the slogan ‘Long Live CPN Maoist’.


Metropolitan Police Circle, Blaju nabbed the arson attacker two days after it launched a manhunt to nab the culprits.Police have filed a case gainst Rajman under Public Offence Act, 2008. 


Police said they are searching for the other attackers.
