KATHMANDU, Feb 26: One person has died after being hit by a tanker in Lalitpur. The deceased has been identified as Suhayang Rai, 17.
According to SP Nareshraj Subedi of District Police Range Lalitpur, Rai died when the tanker (Ba 3 Kha 8585) hit the scooter (Province 2-034 Pa 7328) he was riding in Mahalakshmi Municipality-6, Sano Gaun, at around 6:45 this morning.

Scooter driver Rai was taken to Kist Hospital in Imadol after the accident. However, Subedi said the doctor declared him dead at around 7:30 AM.
Subedi also said that the deceased was going to Milestone College at Balkumari from Shankhadevi of Mahalakshmi Municipality.
After the incident, the tanker driver was taken into custody by the police who also impounded the tanker.
