These youths managed to collect 197 pair of slippers and 153 pieces clothes for the victims. CDO Lalit Kumar Basnet will soon dispatch the relief to the victims. Bishwa Bikram Shah, a local youth, said he and his friends could not remain with their hands folded after being aware about the misery of the people in the tarai.

"It's hard for us to see our neighbors in so much distress," said Shah.

While receiving the relief handed by the youths, CDO Basnet praised the effort taken by the youths of his district. He stated that this would strengthen the relationship between tarai and the hill regions. However, he also warned all to be careful as some people and organizations are misusing relief collected in the name of victims.
