Elon Musk strongly emphasizes that in the age of artificial intelligence (AI), it is imperative for humans to either embrace the integration with machines or face the possibility of becoming obsolete. In the ardent pursuit of transforming this concept into a tangible reality, Musk's unwavering commitment finds a parallel in the scholarly endeavors of esteemed academics. Like ethereal sentinels of knowledge, these intellectual stalwarts stand as custodians of wisdom, bestowing upon us profound philosophical insights and wielding the intellectual compass that guides our journey through the ever-shifting tides of existence, enabling us to embrace the inevitable metamorphosis that awaits.

Neuralink, the pioneering neuro-tech company led by Musk, has garnered considerable attention following its recent approval by the Food and Drug Administration for human testing. This milestone opens up new possibilities for exploring the potential of brain-computer interfaces in augmenting human capabilities and reshaping our conception of humanity. As a result, we are compelled to ponder significant questions: Are we on the verge of humanity's decline towards a dystopian doom, or are we navigating a complex landscape of challenges stemming from outdated paradigms to move towards Utopia? Such thought-provoking questions force us to engage in critical examination of our beliefs and confront the profound uncertainties that lie ahead as we embark on our journey towards progress and the transformative realm of posthumanism.

At the same time, in our pursuit of this brave new world, we must not overlook the significant ethical implications that arise because altering the human condition carries a weighty responsibility, compelling us to safeguard the values of equality and fairness, and prevent the emergence of new forms of inequality. We must approach this juncture with curiosity, tempered by a firm commitment to freedom and other cherished ideas such as liberty and human rights. These ideals have brought humanity this far, and we believe that the future of posthumanism lies within our grasp—a future where the human spirit is unshackled by its physical confines, and our potential knows no bounds. Above all, it is paramount that we do not lose sight of our shared humanity as we venture towards this horizon.

In this delicate dance between humankind and super-advanced technology, an opportunity arises to shape our destiny, ensuring that posthumanism becomes a force that uplifts the human spirit. It transcends mere enhancement, becoming a catalyst for the betterment of our collective existence. As humanity embarks on this uncharted dimension, it is common that a sense of perplexity arises among many individuals as they contemplate these profound matters and navigate the complexities inherent in this journey. Also, the potentiality of a posthuman future can ignite a sense of bewilderment and apprehension, as we struggle with the challenge of comprehending such a world. Many brilliant minds are already passionately exploring the vast possibilities of our tech-driven future to enrich humanity's understanding of this radical transformation, helping us make sense of this transformation. Among these leading pioneers stands the esteemed academic, Professor Dr. Francisco Ferrando.

Professor Francisco Ferrando is a distinguished philosopher and lecturer, renowned for her exceptional contributions to the field of Posthuman Studies. As an award-winning author, professor at New York University, educator, and organizer, she has made significant global strides in advancing the Posthuman discourse. Her intellectual prowess and thought leadership have earned her well-deserved recognition as a public intellectual. She has been named among "One of the 100 top creatives making change in the world" by 'ORIGIN' Magazine, solidifying her position as one of the leading voices guiding and shaping the trajectory of Posthuman Studies. Her work examines these philosophies, discussing the impact of technology on human identity and contemplating the possibility of other universes. It challenges our tendency to view the world solely from a human perspective and encourages us to embrace a broader understanding of what it truly means to be human, especially as the realm of neural links becomes a tangible reality.

In her illuminating book, "Capitalism in Philosophical Posthumanism," she delves into the intricate relationship between freedom and various ideologies within the realm of posthumanism. Her scholarly exploration sheds light on the nuances of liberalism, neoliberalism, transhumanism, and posthumanism, providing a critical lens through which to examine these concepts. In the book, a wide range of topics are covered, with particular emphasis placed on the connection between transhumanism and liberalism raising important concerns about the potential Orwellian implications, as well as the risks of dehumanization and repression of marginalized groups.

Professor Ferrando suggests that transhumanism has its roots in liberalism, highlighting the importance of values like freedom, liberty, and autonomy. However, she also critiques the dualistic tendencies within transhumanist thought, such as the notion of uploading minds to computers, as they pertain to the concept of morphological freedom. In her analysis, she highlights the importance of investigating the different notions of freedom within posthumanism and how they relate to or diverge from transhumanism. She believes that a richer understanding of freedom in posthumanist thought can be attained through the exploration of posthumanism's compatibility with alternative traditions such as egalitarian liberalism, republicanism, Marxism, and anarchism.

Professor Ferrando also sheds light on the significance of embodiment and the biological turn within AI and robotics. The importance of her analysis lies in uncovering the political-economic backdrop against which AI and robotics projects unfold, as well as their amplification of existing socio-cultural, political, economic, and environmental structures. She recognizes the utmost significance of incorporating critical perspectives on the interplay between technology and capitalism.Viewed through this lens, a deeper understanding emerges of how capitalism shapes the development of AI and robotics, and vice versa. She unveils the potentially detrimental consequences they bear on equality, freedom, liberty, and the very foundations of democracy.

Professor Ferrando skillfully sheds light on the dehumanizing dynamics that persist through the process of "othering" marginalized groups. Othering refers to the social process of categorizing and treating individuals or groups as fundamentally different or alien, often leading to their marginalization, discrimination, and exclusion based on perceived differences in race, ethnicity, culture, or other characteristics. She incorporates the concept of racial capitalism and delves into the profound repercussions of the transatlantic slave trade and genocide to sheds light on intricate connection between capitalism, exploitation, expropriation, and dehumanization. In her exploration of racial capitalism, she also delves into its implications for ecological devastation. By adopting this approach, she endeavors to cultivate a profound comprehension of the intricate interconnections between capitalism, dehumanization, exploitation, and ecological crises.

In short, Professor Ferrando's insightful research and analysis significantly contributes to the discourse surrounding posthumanism, enriching the understanding of this profound concept. By critically examining the relationship between freedom and other various ideologies with posthumanism, she helps navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by this transformative paradigm. The insights garnered from her investigation can guide the path towards a future that balances the potential of advanced technologies with a deep commitment to social, ecological, and economic justice. Such understanding becomes especially important as governments often find themselves confused and helpless when confronted with new concepts.

Posthumanism beckons us with its audacious vision, challenging us to redefine our very essence as it is a concept that demands introspection, deliberation, and willingness to confront the profound implications of integrating advanced technologies and intellectual augmentation into our lives. As we confront the challenges and opportunities presented by emerging digital technologies, it is necessary to draw upon the wisdom contained in Professor Ferrando's work to forge a future that transcends the limitations of the past, embracing a holistic vision where human potential and technological progress coexist harmoniously. This understanding enables us to chart a path towards a truly transformative future, one that harnesses the power of technology to create a more inclusive, just, and sustainable world. It is a world that will be radically different from our current reality, and one that should lean towards utopia.

Within the hallowed halls of Nepali parliament, MPs bear the responsibility to ignite new discussions on posthumanism and confront pivotal matters shaping humanity’s future. Rather than dwelling on past glories and insignificant matters that do not immediately contribute to the betterment of the lives of the Nepali people, it is crucial to envision Nepal's prosperity in a technologically advanced future, where traversing the far galaxies becomes routine.
