Prime Minister KP Oli is set to attend the final match of the CAVA Women’s Nations League, where Nepal will compete against India.

Nepal has a chance to make history by winning today’s match. The game also presents an opportunity for the Nepali team to seek revenge for their loss to India in the 2019 South Asian Games (SAG) final, where they were defeated in a best-of-five series.

Having secured victory over Iran in the semi-final and advanced to the final, the Nepali team is also buoyed by their earlier win against India in the league stage.

India has been a major competitor for Nepal in South Asian sports, with Nepal having beaten India only once in women's volleyball last Saturday in the CAVA Women’s League.

Nepali team captain Aruna Shahi has expressed confidence and is determined to play with greater assurance in today’s match.
