All women should unite for their rights: Minister Basnet

KATHMANDU July 31: Minister for Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Ambika Basnet, has said that all women should be united to secure their rights.

KATHMANDU July 31: Minister for Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Ambika Basnet, has said that all women should be united to secure their rights. 


At a program organised by the Nepal Women's Association here today, Minister Basnet said that there was a challenge to establish women's rights and added that all women should be organised for their rights.

She said that the Ministry would take special initiative for the employment to youths in the country, saying youths are compelled to go for overseas employment in lack of jobs in the country. 


Similarly, NWA Chairperson Uma Regmi wished Basnet for her successful term and added that the organisation has been struggling for women's rights since 2048 BS. She said that the new constitution has guaranteed rights of women. 


Likewise, former state minister and former chairperson of NWA, Mina Pandey stressed that all women should be alert about women's participation in election of the Provincial Assembly and the House of Representatives. RSS
