Arrest warrant issued against KMG Chairman Kailash Sirohiya

KATHMANDU, May 21: An arrest warrant has been issued against Kailash Sirohiya, chairman of Kantipur Media Group (KMG).


The District Court, Dhanusha, has issued the arrest warrant, according to Nepal Police Headquarters.

The District Court, Dhanusha, has issued the arrest warrant against Sirohiya in the case of misuse of citizenship. 


In the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting on Tuesday, Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker Badri Pandey objected to the issuance of the arrest warrant against Sirohiya. 


Dhanusha District Police have confirmed the arrest warrant, which stems from a complaint lodged on April 28, 2024. Sirohiya is accused of being a non-Nepali citizen and misusing his citizenship.
