KATHMANDU, July 29: To end the persistent budget transfers and flouting of fiscal discipline, the government has announced that it will not make any budget transfer until the third or last trimester. All the ministries, departments and entities should spend money as per the budget documents. Allocations and transfers based on rationale will be entertained only after mid-March 2018. “But refrain from such budget transfer will be relaxed in case of natural disaster and under special conditions,” the Ministry of Finance has said.
