KATHMANDU, May 24: Nepal has reached the semi-finals of the NSC-CAVA Women's Volleyball Challenge Cup tournament.
In the match held on Tuesday at the National Sports Council Covered Hall, Nepal defeated Bangladesh in straight sets by 3-0 to register its second consecutive win and secure a place in the semi-finals.
Nepal defeated Bangladesh in the first set by 25-10 and won the second set by 25-8 and the third set by 25-9.

With the win, Nepal has added 6 points in Group A.
Meanwhile, India has also entered the semi-finals from this group with equal number of 6 points. Bangladesh and Kyrgyzstan have been eliminated from the group stage.
It may be noted that Nepal defeated Kyrgyzstan in the first match.
Nepal will now face India in the third match on Wednesday, which will decide the winner and runner-up of the group.
A total of eight countries are participating in the tournament organized by the Central Asian Volleyball Association with the support of NSC and the Nepal Volleyball Association.
