RAMECHHAP, Aug 24: Narayan Subedi, District Coordination Committee Officer from Manthali Municipality-1, Machhedadi was attacked with a knife on Wednesday night at his home.
An unknown group attacked Subedi while he was sitting in his room. Subedi informed Republica that the group attacked him all of a sudden from behind but he was successful in snatching the knife from the attackers and running away by jumping from the balcony.

Subedi's family took him to Tamakoshi Coperative Hospital located in Manthali for treatment. He was referred to Kathmandu after primary treatment. The Subedi's surgery was conducted at Dhulikhel Hospital of Kavre on the same day, according to his family.
The hospital said that though there are wounds in his intestine and liver due to the attack, he is out of danger and receiving treatment at the ICU.
"We prepared the field report on the attack on the same day as the attack was carried out with the intention of murder," said DSP Amarendra Bahadur Singh, adding that further investigation into the attack is underway.
Chief District Officer Krishna Prasad Sharma has already instructed the police for further investigation. He said the details will be collected once Subedi returns home from the hospital.
