Devotees throng Gokarneshwor Temple to observe Kushe Aunshi

KATHMANDU, Sept 9: Devotees have crowded Gokarneshwor Temple in Kathmandu early today morning on the occasion of Kushe Aunshi, a festival celebrated by Hindu.

KATHMANDU, Sept 9: Devotees have crowded Gokarneshwor Temple in Kathmandu early today morning on the occasion of Kushe Aunshi, a festival celebrated by Hindu. 


Hundreds of devotees from various parts of the country have reached the temple early morning to observe the festival, the priest Jagadish Bhatta told Rastriya Samachar Samiti.

On the occasion, those whose father is dead go to temples and perform shraddha (a Hindu ritual performed for deceased parents). Traffic along Jorpati Chowk to Sundarijal has been redirected from Jorpati due to a huge crowd of the devotees, said the police.
