EU to assist Nepal in constitution enforcement, federal governance

KATHMANDU, Oct 9: Newly appointed European Union (EU) ambassador to Nepal, Veronique Lorenzo has said that the EU would continue its support for Nepal's development including in the enforcement of the constitution and the federal governance system.

KATHMANDU, Oct 9: Newly appointed European Union (EU) ambassador to Nepal, Veronique Lorenzo has said that the EU would continue its support for Nepal's development including in the enforcement of the constitution and the federal governance system. 


Talking to media persons on Monday, the envoy also expressed her commitment to assist Nepal to achieve prosperity, and to give continuity to its assistance to Nepal in the areas of quality education, climate change, sustainable development, and promotion of energy sector, improvement of the human rights and for building an equitable society.

Recalling the decision of the EU to provide Nepal 300 billion Euros till 2026 under a five-year plan, the ambassador hoped for wider cooperation and collaborations from all sides to achieve the programme targets.
