KATHMANDU, Sept 11: A meeting of the National Assembly today unanimously passed the 'Nepal Police and Province Police (Functions, Operation, Supervision and Coordination) Bill 2076' and the 'Police Adjustment Bill, 2076'.
Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa had presented the proposal in the meeting seeking passage of both the bills.

Similarly, the National Assembly meeting unanimously accepted the proposal presented by Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Bhanubhakta Dhakal, seeking consideration on the amendment made to the 'Administrative Court Bill, 2076' by the House of Representatives and yet another proposal presented by Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Matrika Prasad Yadav, seeking consideration on the 'Safeguards, Anti-Dumping and Countervailing Bill, 2075' along with the message received from the House of Representatives.
Likewise, the meeting unanimously approved the proposal presented by Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota seeking to send the 'Nepal Media Council Bill, 2075' to the Legislation Management Committee for clause-wise discussions. The National Assembly also sent the bill to the Committee.
In the meeting, Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa presented the 'Palermo Protocol under the Convention against the Inter-Country Organized Crime' and committee chairperson Tara Devi Bhatta presented the annual report of the Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee for Fiscal Year 2075/76.
National Assembly secretary Rajendra Phuyal tabled the 'National Identity Card and Vital Registration Bill, 2076' and the 'Economic Work Procedure and Financial Accountability Bill, 2076', along with the message received from the House of Representatives.
Chairperson of the Legislation Management Committee, Parashuram Meghi Gurung presented separate reports of the committee related to the 'Environment Conservation Bill, 2076' and the 'Forest Bill, 2076'.
