BHAKTAPUR, March 3: National Examination Board has rescheduled the date for the Grade XI examinations set for May 8 to 17.
The exams were being rescheduled as the Election Commission has already published the schedule for local level election and instructed schools to remain shut from May 8 to 14, said Dilli Rimal member secretary at the NEB.
Grade XI exams to begin from June 15
It may be noted that the local level election is taking place on May 14. The EC had issued such instruction with a view to using schools as polling stations.
As per the new schedule, the Grade XI exams will be conducted from June 15 to 25 as it was scheduled for May 8 to 17.
However, the examinations of Grade XII will be conducted in the stipulated time, the NEC stated. The examination of grade XII will take place from April 23 to May 5 as declared earlier.
Around 405,000 students are appearing the grade XII examination while the board is collecting examination forms from grade XI students now. RSS
