KATHMANDU, Aug 28: Nepal U-15 national football team has defeated defending champion Bangladesh 4-1 in the third match of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) U-15 Championship being held in Kolkata on Tuesday.
Krishna Adhikari Yadav opened and closed the scoring spree on the end of the either half to secure a match-winning brace in the match. Siamilarly, Sugan Jimee and Pradip Lamsal chipped with a goal each.
Yadav scored his first goal in the stoppage time of first half whereas returned with 88th minute strike to score his second, and Nepal’s fourth, of the match.

Jimee doubled Nepal’s lead in 52nd minute.
Mia was the lone scorer for Bangladesh who netted a consolation goal in the 79th minute before Lamsal extended Nepal’s lead in the 84th minute.
Earlier on Friday, Nepal made a comeback with a 2-0 win against Sri Lanka to stay in the race for the final after suffering a terrible 5-0 loss against India in the opening match of the tournament on Wednesday.
Nepal will face Bhutan on Thursday to further claim its strength for top-two finish. Similarly, Bangladesh will now face strong-looking India on the last group match to entertain its chances to reach the final. Both Nepal and Bangladesh are on six points with two wins in three matches each.
Nepal has rejuvenated its march for the championship winning two back to back matches after a setback in the first.
The top two teams at the end of the group stage will play a final match to decide the winner.
