BAJURA, June 20: A pedestrian died after being struck by a falling rock here today. The deceased has been identified as Nepal Army personnel Dil Bahadur Bhandari, 38, of Rugin, Himali Rural Municipality-4, the District Police Office, Bajura, confirmed.
The rock fell on his head, killing him on the spot. The incident happened at Ghotkanya of Jagannath Rural Municipality-3, the northeastern part of the district along the Karnali corridor, said Police Inspector Dhandev Saud.

Meanwhile a 16-year–old Lalita Giri of Budhinanda Municipality-1 who was injured after she fell off a cliff was rescued by a helicopter after five days of the incident. The rescue was delayed due to adverse weather.
The adolescent was airlifted to Kathmandu from the Kolti Primary Health Center this morning by a Manang Air helicopter, Chief District Officer Gopal Adhikari said.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law in Sudurpaschim Province sent a helicopter to rescue the injured. She fell off the cliff near her village while collecting fodder in the evening last Wednesday and was rushed to the Kolti Primary Health Center.
