KARNALI, Nov 14: One person has died in a road accident involving an auto-rickshaw at Girighat, of Surkhet the capital of Karnali province.
The deceased has been identified as Jamara Shahi, 44, of Birendranagar-1, Surkhet. Shahi died while undergoing treatment at Karnali Care Hospital, according to Karnali Provincial Police Spokesperson Madhav Prasad Shrestha.
Two youths killed in Jhapa road mishap
Laxmi Bahadur Shahi, 53, and Jagat Shahi, 20, of Birendranagar Municipality were also injured in the incident. However, they have returned home after receiving treatment. The rickshaw driver reportedly lost control and hit the road culvert.
Rickshaw driver Ramesh Shahi, 24, of Birendranagar-1, Surkhet has been arrested and necessary investigation is currently underway, police said.
