KATHMANDU, June 26: A five-member parliamentary Sub-committee has been formed in order to probe why the report of the committee formed to investigate into irregularities in the state-owned Nepal Television was not implemented.
The Sub-committee has been formed by the Legislature-Parliament Public Accounts Committee.
The Sub-committee convened by MP Dor Prasad Upadhyay will present its report within a month. MPs Bikash Lamsal, Parbati BC Chaudhary and Mohan Bahadur Basnet are other members of the Sub-committee.
The fifth member will be appointed later.
The committee PAC meeting today also directed the Ministry of Information and Communications to keep the General Manager and other staff of NTV implicated by the Committee formed by the Ministry away from regular duty until the Sub-committee completes its responsibility.
