KATHMANDU, Sept 26: Expressing displeasure over the ‘sluggish’ working style of the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA), Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Monday directed NRA Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Sushil Gyewali for a result-oriented performance.
“I direct you to show a result-oriented performance as announced by the government taking the meeting seriously. Don’t forget to bring a report with achievements in the next sitting,” directed the Prime Minister.
During the meeting, PM Dahal expressed his disagreement with the NRA leadership for a ‘sluggish’ work.
“The authority should work on a war footing for result-oriented performance,” he said.
The meeting also decided to further discuss the issue by summoning a meeting of Advisory Committee within 10 days.

Concluding that the regional mechanisms headed by joint secretaries failed to perform as per the expectation, the meeting decided to form secretariats at district level comprising of lawmaker, Chief District Officer and representatives of political parties.
The Prime Minister also directed to provide the first tranche of the grant to the earthquake victims in 17 districts after concluding the works in 14 districts.
Speaking at the meeting, CEO Gyewali said that the Authority was ready to perform as per the PM’s directive.
Of late, the ruling parties have turned dissatisfied with the NRA leadership.
