KAPILVASTU/DANG, April 19: The departmental teams Tribhuvan Army Club and Armed Police Force (APF) Club have continued their winning run by registering big margin wins over Gandaki and Karnali Provinces respectively in women’s football on Thursday.
At the Banganga Municipality’s Buddha Stadium, Army thrashed Gandaki 11-0. Gandaki had earlier defeated Karnali 4-0.

Army was only two goals ahead in the first half, but got its shooting boots on in the second half scoring nine goals.
Sharmila Thapa scored four goals for the team, while Indira Rai completed her hat-trick. They had only scored a goal each in the first half. Sapana Lama, Krishna Khatri, Bhujana Rai scored a goal each.
In the second match, APF presented itself as a title favorite as it registered a stunning 23-0 win over Karnali. It scored nine goals in the first half, and hit other 14 goals in the second period.
National team striker Sabitra Bhandari and Anu Lama were the standouts for the team as the former scored seven and the latter hit six. Bhandari had also scored four against Province 1 on Wednesday.
In other matches, Province 2 registered its second straight win.
At the Bharatpur Sports Stadium in Ghorahi, Province 2 beat Province 5 3-1 as Rajani Thoker, Sajani Thoker and Dil Kumari Rana scored a goal each. Mamata Pun scored a consolation for Province 5.
Likewise, in a match at the Beljhundi Stadium, Province 3 saw off Sudur Paschim Province 2-0 with goals from Manisha Thapa Magar.
