Speaking at a party politburo meeting that started in Kathmandu on Monday, Chairman Oli questioned the EC as to why the color of the election symbol had to be made green in color which seems to be unfavorable. Chairman Oli alleged that the EC had initiated the preparations for the election by colluding with the ruling coalition without consulting the other political parties. He also said that black and white would be a suitable color for the ballet paper.

Similarly, he also warned the party leaders and cadres to protect the ballot boxes saying that the Bharatpur and Siraha scandals could be repeated in the upcoming election due to the activities of the EC. Chairperson Oli also said that the party should run the government at all three levels with a single majority in the upcoming election and called on the entire party to prepare accordingly.
