Three tier election raises hope among citizenry: PM Deuba

KATHMANDU, Dec 7: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has thanked everyone for the conclusion of the election to the House of Representatives and Provincial Assemblies in a peaceful and enthusiastic manner.

KATHMANDU, Dec 7: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has thanked everyone for the conclusion of the election to the House of Representatives and Provincial Assemblies in a peaceful and enthusiastic manner. 



Issuing a statement here today, Prime Minister Deuba has expressed gratitude to all the voters, security persons, civil servants, teachers and observers for their support in the peaceful, conscious and enthusiastic completion of one of the biggest festivals of a democracy. "The encouraging presence of voters in the first phase and the second phase today is an indication of the federal democratic republic being institutionalized, and the citizens' immense trust over the government," he said. 



The Prime Minister has also said that the election was successfully concluded with a strong determination of the government amidst various doubts and apprehensions. The success of all the three tiers' election has raised hope among the citizens while paving the way for the country's development, prosperity and political stability. In the statement, Prime Minister Deuba has also lauded the efficient leadership of the Election Commission and the round-the-clock effort of all the office-bearers and staff to make the elections a success.
