Tiger attacks man yet again in Banke

NEPALGUNJ, Dec 18: A tiger attacked a man again in the Fatehpur forest of Banke. Lokmani Batala, chief of Jana Siddeshwar Multipurpose Campus, Fattepur, was attacked by a tiger on his way to Binuna in Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality Ward No. 5.


He said that he was attacked by a tiger while he was riding his motorcycle towards Binuna at around 6:30 AM on Saturday. According to him, even though the tiger jumped on him, it could not land its claws on him. Campus Chief Batala said that he had received second life after surviving the tiger attack.

Last September, a tiger of Banke National Park had eaten people at Gabar in Rapti Sonari 1 Kusum. About a month and a half later, another tiger also bit people to death in Narayanpur. The number of tigers has increased in Banke recently.
