KATHMANDU, Nov 14: On the day of Bhai Tika tomorrow due to the general influence of the westerly wind, there is a possibility of light snowfall in some parts of the country, and there is a possibility of light snowfall in the high hills and mountainous areas, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
According to Pratibha Manandhar, a meteorologist of the MFD, the weather is partly to generally clear in the hilly areas of the country, while the rest of the country is partly to generally clear. There is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hills and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
Light rainfall likely in Bagmati, Koshi and Gandaki provinces
Today and tomorrow the weather across the country will be generally clear. Partly cloudy in hilly areas and light snowfall at a few places of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces is predicted. On the day of Bhai Tika of Tihar, the weather seems to be generally clear," said meteorologist Manandhar.
Manandhar says that even though there is a general influence of the westerly winds in Nepal, it cannot develop a rain system. The weather will be generally clear in Kathmandu for the next two days. It will be partly cloudy in the hilly areas around the valley. The weather will be clear in the Terai region.
According to the weather forecast bulletin issued by the Department, the weather will be generally clear in the hilly areas of the country, including Koshi and Madhesh provinces tomorrow.
There is a chance of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hills and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. MFD officials have predicted that the same type of weather system will continue during the night as well.
