KATHMANDU, March 23: Eleven small parties likely to lose political identity under “one fast-the-post voting seat and three percent threshold system” have decided to be united into a single party in a bid to pre-empt their possible extinction from the political arena.
Issuing a joint press release on Wednesday, the eleven fringe parties announced their merger into a single party.

“Internal unity and geographic integrity have reached their nadir for the first time in the annals of Nepal since the unification of small principalities by King PN Shah. The country has found itself in a quagmire of deep crisis caused by such consequences of this situation as instability, insecurity, blatant foreign interference and corruption. It is high time Nationalist and progressive forces became united to collarbone on the process of manumitting the country from such a serious situation”, the press release states.
The eleven parties include Samyukta Rastabadi Samajbadi Party, Nepal Communist Party(Marxist –Leninist- Socialist), Nepal Ganatantrik Janta Party, Rastriya Punarjagaran Party, Janaprajatantrik Party, Nepalbadi Party, Bahujattiya Samajbadi Party, Greater Nepal Rastrabadi Morcha, Rastriya Mukti Andolan Nepal and Rastriya Churebhavar Party
