16 injured as microvans collide head-on in Capital

KATHMANDU, July 2: As many as 16 persons were injured after two microvans collided head-on in Capital on early Tuesday.

KATHMANDU, July 2: As many as 16 persons were injured after two microvans collided head-on in Capital on early Tuesday.


The condition of one of the injured is reported to be critical.

According to DSP Pradip Singh, the accident took place when a Hiace microvan (Ba 4 Pa 5100) collided head-on with another microvan (Ba 1Ja 9776). “Both microvans were moving at speed when the collision took place”, DSP Singh added.


The injured are receiving treatment at Kathmandu Medical College.


The accident took place in front of the Sinamangal Information Commission.
