19 footballers of Chyasal Youth Club contract COVID-19

KATHMANDU, Jan 16: A total of 19 football players associated with the Chyasal Youth Club have been infected with COVID-19 at the same time, leading to the postponement of today's match under Martyrs Memorial 'A' Division League.

KATHMANDU, Jan 16: A total of 19 football players associated with the Chyasal Youth Club have been infected with COVID-19 at the same time, leading to the postponement of today's match under Martyrs Memorial 'A' Division League. 


Nepal Police Club and Chyasal Youth Club were going to compete in the match today. The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) decided to postpone today's match scheduled to begin at 4:45 PM after a hearing on the proposal of the Chyasal Youth Club after its players were confirmed positive for COVID-19.

ANFA consulted with the medical team to make a decision toward this end, according to ANFA. A new date will be set for today's match in due time, said ANFA, adding that other matches will take place as per the schedule. 


The last match under the 9th round between Jawalakhel Youth Club and NRT will be held as per the schedule. Nepal Police Club is at the 11th position with seven points while Chyasal Youth Club stands at the 13th position with five points.
