Two killed, 7 injured in transformer blast in Dhading

KATHMANDU, April 21: Two people have died and 7 sustained severe injuries in transformer blast in Dhading on Monday evening.

KATHMANDU, April 21: Two people have died and 7 sustained severe injuries in transformer blast in Dhading on Monday evening. 


The incident took place at Thakre rural municipality of Dhading district when the poorly maintained transoformer exploded due to lightning.

According to sub-inspector Rupak Khadka of District Police Office, the deceased has been identified as Sunman Tamang of Bhujeltol and Sagar Aryal of Bicharitol. “They breathed their last while rushing them to hospital”, he added.


Similarly, Nirmala Tamang and Rupak Aryal are among those injured. They are undergoing treatment at Trauma Center in Kathmandu. Likewise, Dhan Kumari Tamang, Tara Singh Tamang, Kanchi Tamang, Sanu Tamang, and Thuli Tamang are undergoing treatment at local hospitals.
