KATHMANDU, June 18: At least 21 people were injured when a bus and truck collided with each other in Kamal Rural Municipality-4, Jhapa, on Tuesday.
Milan KC, superintendent of police (SP) and chief of the District Police Office, Jhapa, said that the accident took place when a truck (Ba 3 Kha 2166) heading to west from east and a bus (1 Kha 5087) coming from the opposite direction collided with each other at Kamal Rural Municipality-4, along the East-West Highway.

According to SP KC, 21 passengers of the bus were injured in the accident and three of them are in critical condition. All the injured are currently undergoing treatment at Damak Hospital and Research Center and Life Line Hospital, Damak.
SP KC said that those seriously injured have been referred to Neuro Hospital, Biratnagar, for further treatment.
Police said that they have taken control of the bus driver Ashok Bot, 45, of Triyuga Municipality-3, Udayapur, and the truck driver, Sher Bahadur Rai, 34, of Ganeshman Municipality-5, Dhanusa.
