100,831 Nepalis are infected by COVID-19 globally as of Sunday morning
KATHMANDU, Sept 20: A total of 244 Nepalis abroad have so far succumbed to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), according to the Health Committee under the Non-Resident Nepalese Association (NRNA).

The committee, through a press statement, shared that one more Nepali national died of this viral infection in the United States of America in the past one week.
Nepalis working or residing in 17 different countries across the globe have been claimed by the disease whereas infection among the Nepalis has been reported in 42 countries, according to Sanjeeb Sapkota, the coordinator of the committee.
New cases of COVID-19 infections were reported in Brazil and Uganda while infection rates slightly rose in the UK, Spain and India.
As of Sunday morning, the total COVID-19 caseload in the Nepali community has jumped to 100,831 including 62,797 from Nepal alone. Of the total confirmed cases, 70.5 percent –79,782 – have so far recovered while 645 others lost their lives to COVID-19.
