3 DIGs recommended for promotion

KATHMANDU, Feb 28: The Ministry of Home Affairs has recommended to the Council of Ministers to promote three Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) to the post of Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Nepal Police.

KATHMANDU, Feb 28: The Ministry of Home Affairs has recommended to the Council of Ministers to promote three Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) to the post of Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Nepal Police.

A meeting of the Promotion Committee of the ministry on Thursday took a decision to this effect. Those recommended for promotion include DIG Tarini Prasad Lamsal, Shailesh Thapa Chhetri and Hari Pal.


While Lamsal will retire along with incumbent police chief Thakur Gyawali on July 8, 2020, one among Thapa and Pal will become the next police chief.
