KATHMANDU, Dec 7: Police have arrested Krishna Gopal Agrawal, who was issued a red notice by Interpol in the case of the disappearance of 33 kg of gold and murder of Sanam Shakya.
Krishna Gopal Agrawal, 50, of former Shivganj VDC-1, Jhapa, was arrested by the Nepal Police from Tribhuvan International Airport on Sunday.

Agarwal, who was named as the defendant in the case, had been absconding for a long time. Earlier, the Nepal Police had written a letter through the Interpol branch to issue a 'red notice'.
Agarwal, one of the fugitive defendants involved in the case of illegal smuggling and export of gold, abduction and hostage-taking, was arrested, acting on a tip off that he was coming to Nepal from Dubai. Police from the Interpol branch arrested him.
Agarwal, who was also issued a warrant by the district court in Morang, was issued a red notice by the Interpol Secretariat on July 24, 2018 for international search and arrest at the request of the District Police Office, Morang.
According to the branch, Agrawal is currently being kept at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Gaushala for the purpose of prosecution by the District Police Office, Morang.
