341 Nepalis living abroad have succumbed to coronavirus as of today

KATHMANDU, March 7: The number of Nepali nationals dying of the coronavirus has reached 341 with two more Nepalis succumbing to the coronavirus in the United Kingdom in the past one week, the Non-resident Nepali Association (NRNA) said.

KATHMANDU, March 7: The number of Nepali nationals dying of the coronavirus has reached 341 with two more Nepalis succumbing to the coronavirus in the United Kingdom in the past one week, the Non-resident Nepali Association (NRNA) said.


As of Saturday evening, 341 Nepalis residing in 21 countries died of the virus, the NRNA said in a press release.

The highest deaths are from Saudi Arabia (88) followed by 86 in the UK and 50 in the UAE. Likewise, 62,181 Nepali nationals have been infected by the virus so far and among them, 60,628 have recovered as of today.


The recovery rate is 96.3 percent. Sweden, Malaysia, the UAE and Portugal reported more infections in Nepalis this week.
