Kasaju said they will be supplying electricity to Nepal Electricity Authority as a two-week trial from Monday. “After completing a two-week trial production, we will go into commercial production,” said Kasaju.

The project had planned to supply its production to the national grid a few months ago. But it was postponed due to the floods and landslides in the district last rainy season.

The project has been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 7 billion. Of the amount, 30 percent is debt while 70 percent is equity. A consortium of five banks has funded the project.
