39 students injured as a bus carrying students for picnic meets with accident in Udayapur

UDAYAPUR, Nov 25: Around four dozen people were injured in the bus accident involving students of Annapurna Boarding School in Jalalle, Udaipur.

UDAYAPUR, Nov 25: Around four dozen people were injured in the bus accident involving students of Annapurna Boarding School in Jalalle, Udaipur.


The incident occurred on Saturday when the school bus (Pra 1-05-001m Kha 0044) lost control, resulting in injuries to 39 individuals. The accident took place near Jogini Tole at Andheri, Udayapurgadhi-7, along the Gaighat-Katari section of the Madan Bhandari highway.

DSP Hari Nandan Chaudhary, Information Officer of District Police Office, Udayapur, stated that the accident victims were promptly rescued by local authorities and the police team, then transported to District Hospital Udayapur, Gaighat, for medical treatment.


Among the 39 injured individuals brought for treatment, two were referred to Biratnagar and Dharan due to the severity of their conditions. DSP Chaudhary mentioned that a police rescue team is on-site, and additional injured individuals may be discovered.


A bus and a cargo truck were also involved in an accident between Dasahin and Tihar at the same place of the road. According to police, the road from the confluence of Triyuga, Rautamai, and Udayapurgadhi connecting to Nepaltar from 777 Chowk is winding and narrow, contributing to frequent accidents.
