40 public servants of three local government given training on 'Leadership for Good Economic Governance'

KATHMANDU, Nov 22: As many as 40 public servants from three municipalities including the mayor, deputy mayor, chief administrative officer, and other positions of Lumbini Province took part in ‘Leadership for Good Economic Governance’ organized by Daayitwa, a non-profit and non-governmental Nepali organization.

KATHMANDU, Nov 22: As many as 40 public servants from three municipalities including the mayor, deputy mayor, chief administrative officer, and other positions of Lumbini Province took part in ‘Leadership for Good Economic Governance’ organized by Daayitwa, a non-profit and non-governmental Nepali organization.


The training was held for two days with an aim to strengthen the leadership skill of civil servants working with Tilotama, Musikot, and Sunwal Municipality of Lumbini Province. The training is expected to make elected representatives and officials of local governments aware and sensitive to social issues by providing insights on economic governance, economic politics approach, and analysis, inclusive municipal good governance, adaptive leadership, introduction of leaders, innovative leadership, self-motivation, and empathy, service mentality, etc.

Stating that it is important to strengthen the local government to lead the country toward development, Vice President of Policy and Planning Commission of Gandaki Province, Dr Raghuraj Kafle stressed on the need to bring leadership program in Gandaki Province for good governance as there is a need to bring a lot of improvement in the region in terms of economic governance.
