KATHMANDU, May 23: The country has recorded a total of 7,914 new cases of COVID-19 infection in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
The Ministry stated that with this the COVID-19 caseload has reached 513,241 in the country.
India logs 50,407 fresh COVID-19 cases, 804 deaths
The new cases were confirmed from the 18,965 PCR tests and 931 antigen tests out of which 7,598 tested positive for COVID-19 through PCR test and 316 through antigen.
There are currently 115,547 active cases in the country while 391,348 have recovered so far.
Likewise, 7,664 Coronavirus infected patients recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours which takes the recovery number to 391,348.
In the past 24 hours, Kathmandu district recorded 1,761 new cases while 694 in Lalitpur and 366 in Bhaktapur district, according to the Ministry.
Similarly, a total of 193 people succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours across the country. With this, the COVID-19 fatality in the country stands at 6,346, according to the Ministry.
