7 Nepalis killed in Gorakhpur vehicular collision

BHAIRAHAWA, Sept 8: Seven Nepali people were killed in a vehicular collision that took place near Gorakhpur in Indian State of Uttar Pradesh on Friday.

BHAIRAHAWA, Sept 8: Seven Nepali people were killed in a vehicular collision that took place near Gorakhpur in Indian State of Uttar Pradesh on Friday.


“The accident took place when a car being used by Nepalis collided head-on with a readymix mixture at Purandarpur along the Nautanawa Road Section,” Inspector Rabin Bista of Area Police Office, Belhiya quoted Indian police as saying.

An Indian national is also reported to have died in the accident. According to Indian Police, the car with an Indian Number Plate UP 53 C.T. 7202 was heading to Sunauli carrying Nepali people from Gorakhpur when the accident took place. 


The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained. 


Four men, one woman and two children were reportedly traveling in the ill-fated car. However, it is yet to be ascertained. The bodies and the car have been badly damaged.


The accident site lies 40 km far away from Nepal-India border.
