The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) ignored many controversies over racism and sexism in the body of journalists, taking into account the lack of a replacement television partner, January 9, 2022. Announced plans to award the 79th Golden Globe Awards to the American network NBC, which was separated from the event earlier this year.

On Friday, the HFPA announced a traditional calendar with submission deadlines for various categories. After the HFPA’s turmoil in February, reports of sources identifying suspicious internal practices and lack of diversity in the organization stopped speculation about the fate of the 79th Golden Globe Awards.

NBC, a longtime TV broadcast partner at HFPA, has decided to drop out due to internal issues that have shaken the organization.

The problem came to mind when Tom Cruise returned the three Golden Globe Awards he won in the 1990s and Scarlett Johansson added her voice to growing criticism of the HFPA. Since then, the organization says it has wiped out the act under the new German president.
