84 children rescued from child labour

ROLPA, March 24: Eighty-four children found working as labours in various sectors have been reunited with their families in Rolpa district.

ROLPA, March 24: Eighty-four children found working as labours in various sectors have been reunited with their families in Rolpa district. 


These children were found working at brick kilns, hotels and restaurants and in public vehicles in Kathmandu.

According to Save the Children, Rolpa, most of these children who were reunited with their families have started going to school. 


"Many among these children who were rescued from child labour and reunited with their families are presently studying in schools with the support of various organisations," Save the Children Rolpa's representative Dil Kamal Chhetri said. 


He said those children who do not want to go to school are provided with skill-oriented training and rehabilitated in society. Some of these children have started their own business like hair cutting saloon, furniture industry and other enterprises for a living. RSS
