KATHMANDU, Feb 24: A day after the Supreme Court reinstated the House of Representatives, chairpersons of the rival faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal held a meeting with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba on Wednesday afternoon.
The NCP's rival faction leaders reached Budhanilkantha-based residence of NC President Deuba at 1:15 PM. The meeting lasted for about half an hour, according to Bhanu Deuba, the NC president's aide.

"Leaders dwelt on the contemporary political situation after the apex court issued a verdict against the dissolution of parliament," Deuba said without divulging details. He also said that the two sides agreed to hold another round of meeting soon.
According to sources, the NCP leaders and NC president Deuba discussed the possibility of the power-sharing deal in the coming days. Deuba is said to have conveyed the NCP leaders that he will discuss the matter with the party's office bearers.
Earlier on Tuesday, NCP's Dahal-Nepal faction and the main opposition Nepali Congress hailed the apex court's decision to overturn the government's move to dissolve parliament.
