No decision yet to give JSP vice presidency: NC Vice President Khadka

KATHMANDU, March 10:  Purna Bahadur Khadka, the vice-president of the Nepali Congress, has said that no decision has been taken yet to give the vice presidency to the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP). He said so after reaching the ashram of former prime minister Krishna Prasad Bhattarai in Bode of Lalitpur on Friday.

KATHMANDU, March 10:  Purna Bahadur Khadka, the vice-president of the Nepali Congress, has said that no decision has been taken yet to give the vice presidency to the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP). He said so after reaching the ashram of former prime minister Krishna Prasad Bhattarai in Bode of Lalitpur on Friday.


Vice-president Khadka said that although there is some understanding and consensus regarding the election of the Vice President, the coalition is yet to decide to give the post of vice president to JSP. He said that a formal decision will be taken at a meeting of the alliance soon.

He said, “There has been some understanding and agreement about the vice presidential election. The prime minister will coordinate it. We will reach a formal decision by calling a meeting of the relevant parties and leaders. The matter of giving vice-presidency to JSP has not entered the discussions of the eight parties so far. Therefore, a meeting of eight parties will be held to make a formal decision.”
