Absconding accused in banking crime case arrested

KATHMANDU, March 21: A police team deployed from the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police, Maharajgunj, has arrested one absconding defendant of a banking crime case.

The arrested person is 44-year-old Ramesh Kumar Shrestha, who hails from Dolakha Bhimeshwar Municipality-1, Charikot, and currently lives near Budhanilkanth Municipality-13 Micropark in Kathmandu. A team of the Central Bureau of Investigation arrested him from Koteshwar in Kathmandu on Monday, after he was sentenced to 10 days imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1.35 million fine in the banking offense case by the decision of Patan High Court dated 13th January.


The arrested Shrestha has been mentioned in the notice published by the Central Office of Nepal Police which was submitted to the Lalitpur District Court for execution of the judgment.
