Mayor of Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality Deep Narayan Rijal had led an investigation team to the health post.  After the inspection, it was found that the officials and staff at the health post took leave without informing the administration.

Due to the absence of staff, the Out Patient Department (OPD), Hospital Inpatient Care (IPD), and clinical laboratory service have been affected at the health post.

As informed by Nabin Devkota, chief of the District Public Health Office, Khotang, the in-charge of OPD has been on leave since September 23. Likewise, another health assistant of OPD is on leave since a month.

“The health post has failed to provide proper health services due to ignorance of the officials and staff,” Mayor Rijal said, adding, “I have instructed the chief of the health post to deduct the salaries of irregular staff for their irresponsible attitude.”
